Gaming Desk Mat Ideas: 7 Setups From Cozy Anime to Dark Gothic

A desk mat is the biggest surface in your setup. Change it and the whole desk changes mood, from calm and icy to dark and gothic. Here are seven ideas, sorted by the vibe they give your room. All of them are made to order and shipped within the US.

How to pick a desk mat

• Measure first. A large mat should fit your keyboard and your full mouse swing. If your desk is under 30 inches wide, a smaller size will look cleaner.
• Match the lighting. Blue and teal art works with cool RGB. Red, gold and orange art works with warm lamps.
• Busy or calm? A detailed scene looks great on a clean desk. A minimal design works better if your desk is full of gear.

Care tips

Wipe it with a damp cloth and mild soap, let it dry flat, and avoid the dryer. If it arrives rolled, lay it flat under a few books for a day.
